The Nursery

Daisy Chain Childcare Nurseries are designed with children in mind. Our buildings provide a bright, spacious yet warm and welcoming environment where your child can flourish and blossom. Our Rothwell and Adel nurseries are situated within the grounds of primary schools allowing us to offer a "wrap around" service to the school. Before and After School clubs are also available at these sites.

We cater for children aged from 3 months to 5 years in our day nurseries.

We pride ourselves on providing high quality day care to the local communities in which we are situated. Parents can leave their children in our care, safe in the knowledge that their child will enjoy a fun day within a stimulating environment. Our curriculum follows the six areas of learning as set by OFSTED along with our "Birth To Three Matters" curriculum for children under three. Each child has a development portfolio which illustrates how they are growing and progressing against key milestones. Parental contribution and involvement in nursery life is always actively encouraged.

Our curriculum includes Music, French and Gardening lessons for 3 and 4 year olds. Additionally we have a structured programme of Physical Activities to introduce excercise to children at an early age - these include Bend & Stretch, Dance Sessions, Baby Ballet and Yoga Bugs. All of these activities are provided by qualified external teachers and are available at no extra cost to children attending Daisy Chain. Be assured that all learning is done through play and is tailored to capture young imaginations.

We are situated within the grounds of primary schools which allows us to offer special services to the school pupils such as our tailored day care package to parents of children attending the schools’ own pre-school, sessional nursery. We call this service “wrap around”.

Security of the children has been one of our main considerations and only parents and permitted visitors have access to the children’s areas. Closed circuit television monitoring is in operation along with the added security of intruder alarms and an electronic entry system. Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to leave the nursery with anyone unknown to staff unless previously arranged by a parent/guardian.

Outdoor Play

Our nurseries have their own secure outdoor play area full of activities and things to do. Our outdoor play has been selected to offer little ones challenge, fun and entertainment with equipment that is just their size. As well as climbing equipment we have hard surface areas for bikes, hoops, scooters and bats & balls. Our cheery, colourful equipment not only guarantees fun but also promotes physical development.

We have separate safety surface areas for the babies and toddlers to play in. Here we have teddy bear picnics along with outdoor sand and water play and lots of other fun activities for the under two's.
