Policies |
| Daisy Chain Childcare have a number of policies outlining the basic guidelines and regulations by which the nursery is operated. These include an Equal Opportunities Policy for children and staff, No Smoking, Behaviour, Child Protection, Health and Safety, Security, Ill Children, Administration of Medicine, Complaints and a Special Needs policy. Copies of these can be provided upon request and are also displayed within the nursery reception. Our policies are reviewed annually or as and when required. |
Accidents |
| If an accident happens initial treatment will be carried out by a first-aider. If a hospital visit is considered necessary then an ambulance will be called and the parents will be immediately contacted. A member of staff will accompany the child to hospital and meet the parents there. Permission for such emergency treatment is sought at the registration of a child and the consent and registration form will be taken to hospital. In order to comply with OFSTED regulations, all accidents no matter
how minor must be recorded in the nursery accident book. Parents will
be asked to sign this book to acknowledge that they have been informed
of the accident. |
Health and Saftey |
At Daisy Chain Childcare we adhere to strict health and safety regulations. Our building is maintained to the highest standards and regular fire drills ensure the safe evacuation of everyone in the event of a genuine alarm. We use an electronic entry system in the lobby and parents are requested
to ring the bell where once identified they will be let in by a member
of staff. All children must be signed in and out of the nurseries stating times of drop off and collection. |
Compliments and Complaints |
| A compliments, complaints and comments book is available in nursery at all times. Please feel free to use it as often as you wish, as your comments are most useful when we are re-assessing our service. We also have a suggestion box in the hall way. The number to contact OFSTED is: 0845 6014772. |
